Delicious Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
2 3/4 cup of flour
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
2 1/4 tsp of yeast (1 packet of yeast, instant)
1/2 cup of milk (i used oatmilk)
1/4 cup of water
3 tbsps of unsalted butter
1 egg
Filling
3 tbsps of unsalted butter
1 tbps of ground cinnamon
1/4 cup of sugar
Icing
1 cup of confectioners (powdered) sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
2 – 3 tbsps of milk (I used oatmilk)
Directions
To make the dough, place all the dry ingredients into your mixer and stir until combined. While that is happening, combine your milk, butter and water on the stove. Make sure the butter is completely melted and the mixture is warm to the touch. Pour this mixture into your dry ingredients and add the egg.
In the mean time, take the butter out for the filling so it can get to room temperature.
Once it is the consistency of the dough, take the dough and kneed for at least 3 minutes. Once done, place in a lightly greased bowl and cover lightly with plastic wrap for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, flour your surface and roll the dough out to be slightly bigger than a 9 by 13 inch pan. Spread the softened butter on the dough and sprinkle it with the cinnamon sugar combination.
Roll the dough tightly and cut into equal parts. Spray your pie dish or 9 by 13 inch pan and place them in with space. Cover your pan tightly with aluminum foil and place in your stove (not turned on) and let it sit for at least 75 minutes for the rolls to rise.
Once the rolls have doubled in size, preheat the oven (with pan removed) to 375 degrees Farenheit. Bake the rols for 23-27 minutes or until they are lighlty brown on top.
While they are baking, go ahead and make the icing. Once you take them out the over, pour the icing on the rolls and enjoy.

Hi Aunt Mary, you can substitute the dairy products quite easily. I’ll add that to the post. I used oat milk and vegan butter.
