Turkey Meatballs
Meatballs are such a great addition to spaghetti, but also great on their own. I love making them as a special treat since there isn’t much to them. Since I don’t eat a lot of red meat, I make mine out of ground turkey. Try the recipe below.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of ground turkey
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/3 cup of minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh/dried parsley
- salt and pepper to taste and any other spices
Recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy clean up or spray a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix them well.
- Once everything is mixed together, start to make the meatballs. If you make them about 1 inch in diameter, you should make at least 24 meatballs. **Tip: I always make them a bit bigger so I can bake them in a muffin tin
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with foil for easy clean up.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes until they brown.
- Enjoy as the main dish or with spaghetti.
