Turkey Meatballs

Meatballs are such a great addition to spaghetti, but also great on their own. I love making them as a special treat since there isn’t much to them. Since I don’t eat a lot of red meat, I make mine out of ground turkey. Try the recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of ground turkey
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/3 cup of minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh/dried parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste and any other spices

Recipe:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy clean up or spray a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix them well.
  3. Once everything is mixed together, start to make the meatballs. If you make them about 1 inch in diameter, you should make at least 24 meatballs. **Tip: I always make them a bit bigger so I can bake them in a muffin tin
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with foil for easy clean up.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes until they brown.
  6. Enjoy as the main dish or with spaghetti.
